The GYROMAT 2000 is a precision surveying gyroscope with fully automatic measuring sequence for tunnel surveying. This instrument is the result of more than 50 years experience at DMT in the development and manufacture of gyroscopic measuring instruments.

With the GYROMAT 2000 it is possible to conduct exact directional measurements regardless of the Earth's magnetic field. Inside the instrument there is a neutral, suspended, fast-rotation gyro, which swings around the northerly direction as a result of the interaction of gyro rotation, gravitational pull and the Earth's rotation. A special scanning system determines the direction of north from this vibration fully automatically and with high precision. Accuracy is 1/1000 gon or 1.5 cm every 1 km. The measuring time for one directional measurement is approximately 10 minutes.

The GYROMAT 2000 is manufactured to the state of the art and is suitable for universal application in the geodetic field or for control purposes. The GYROMAT 2000 is equipped with three measuring programs, works fully automatically, and does not need any manual prealignment.
