The SAS LOG logging unit consists of a cable with fixed electrodes, a temperature transducer and a fluid resistivity cell, all mounted on a back-pack frame. The SAS LOG is available with cable lengths of 200 or 300 m. On request other lengths can be assembled.
The SAS LOG option connects to the Terrameter SAS 4000, and converts it to a logging system. The probe is lowered manually into the hole step by step. Readings are taken at each step by activating the measure knob, whereby data is stored in the Terrameter memory for subsequent processing and plotting.
