MMLFC PORTABLE MAGNETIC SHIELDING ENCLOSURE

Designed for paleomagnetic research requiring that magnetic measurements and demagnetizations be performed in a low magnetic field environment.

The cage provides a low field environment just like a mu-metal room, but it has two major advantages. First, it allows the magnetic fields, due to the equipment, to escape and therefore does not enhance them. Second, the MMLFC is designed so that the X, Y, and Z components of the field can be independently adjusted to permit moving magnetic anomalies without moving the equipment.
  • 'See-thru, hear-thru' structure; 2m x 2m x 2m or 2.5m x 2.5m x 2.5m, large cage version.
  • Long term shielding integrity.
  • User-directed movement of ultra-low magnetic field regions is attained by adjusting X, Y, anf Z components.
  • On-site assembly of lightweight cage-type panels.
  • Provides low frequency (AC and DC) magnetic field shielding.
  • Field cancellation up to 99%.
  • Does not require any special preparation of the existing laboratory.
  • Counter-balanced, easy to operate door.
  • Allows easy relocation; two people can carry entire cage.
